Etele Dósa

career / background

Etele Dósa studied at the Budapest Music Academy and at the Basel University of Music with François Benda, and historical clarinet at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with Pierre-André Taillard. He has won prizes in several competitions such as "Dos Hermanas Sevilla" (Spain), "Caltanissetta" and "Città di Carlino" (Italy). In 2005 he won first prize in the Basel Orchestra Society competition.

He plays chamber music with various ensembles such as the Chamber Soloists Zug, the Basel Philharmonic Quintet and with baroque ensembles such as La Cetra Barockorchester, La Scintilla, Capriccio Basel Capella Augustina and Compagnia di Punto. Since November 2010 he has been deputy principal clarinetist of the Basel Chamber Orchestra.
