Eva Miribung

Eva Miribung comes from South Tyrol. She studied violin at the Basel University of Music and at the Schola Cantorum and deepened her baroque playing style with Chiara Banchini, John Holloway and Anton Steck.
She works as a chamber musician, stage musician, music educator and in the orchestra. Since 2003 she has been a permanent member of the Basel Chamber Orchestra and a new member of the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra.
She also performs worldwide with the following orchestras: Il Giardino Armonico, Ensemble Zefiro, Balthasar Neumann Ensemble, Orchestra of the JS Bach Foundation, Ensemle Baroque de Limoges and others.
Eva's particular passion is singing and musical theater, which she pursues as a stage musician at the Theater Basel, among others. She works with directors such as Miloš Lolić ("Lysistrata"), Stefan Bachmann ("Graf Öderland") and Thom Luz ("4 ½ Seasons"), and can currently be seen in the production "Trudi, the Goat Runs Away" at the Theater Basel.
Since 2022 she has been working as a music educator for the Basel Chamber Orchestra and is involved in numerous educational projects of the orchestra itself. From 2016-2023 she played in the music theater and classroom piece "Struwwelpeter", from which the radio play CD was released on the Solo Musica label in 2021. From 2020 to 2022 she was a lecturer at the music school in Langenthal and from 2021-2024 she was concertmaster of the Langenthal City Orchestra (SOL).
She has also been a member of “MusikSpitex” since 2024. Eva Miribung lives as a freelance artist in Basel.
