During her master's degree in "Doing culture. Education and reflection of cultural processes" at the University of Witten/Herdecke (D), she conducted research at the interface between artistic practice and scientific reflection, including on the aesthetic horizon of Morton Feldman's Rothko Chapel.
Currently studying for a doctorate (music aesthetics/philosophy) on the possibilities of understanding musical hearing based on Giacinto Scelsi's Manto I. Johanna Lamprecht has performed in numerous chamber music and orchestral projects at home and abroad. She also studied baroque viola with Florence Malgoire at the Centre de la musique ancienne Genève. Johanna Lamprecht also plays the campanula viola, which, with its additional 11 sympathetic strings, enables special sound experiences.
