Keiko Kinoshita was born in Japan and studied historical flutes at the Showa Music University and Toto Gaukuen Music University under Professor Masahiro Arita.
After her studies, she worked as a researcher at the Showa Music University. She played regularly with ensembles such as "Les Boréades", the "Tokyo Bach Mozart Orchestra" and "Symposion" in Japan.
In Switzerland, she studied at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with Prof. Marc Hantai and Renaissance transverse flute with Anne Smith. She completed her two master's courses with distinction.
In 2011 Keiko was a semi-finalist in the Bruges Early Music Competition and has participated in many recordings, concerts for chamber music and orchestral groups throughout Europe, including with Philippe Herreweghe Collegium Vocale Gent, Philippe Pierlot, Cordia, L'arpa festante, JS Bach Foundation, Les Passions and Capriccio Barockorchester Basel. She recorded a CD with works by the Bach family in 2008 and was allowed to play an original Quantz flute from the Hamamatsu Instrument Museum.
She has attended many festivals including the Bach Museum Festival, the music festival in Ljubljana, and the music festival in Potsdam at Sans Souci Palace.
