Career
Lucie Kočí was born into a family of musicians in Prague in 1991 and began playing the violin at the age of five. She studied violin at the Prague Conservatory with Professor Jiří Fišer before moving to Switzerland in 2013. She completed her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Solo Performance at the Lucerne University of Music with Professor Igor Karško.
Lucie made her first solo appearance at the age of ten in a duo with the well-known violinist Josef Suk as part of the concert cycle "Josef Suk Young Talents" in the Dvořák Hall of the Rudolfinum in Prague. Further appearances as a soloist followed, including with the Prague Chamber Philharmonic, the Slovak Chamber Orchestra and the Swiss Chamber Orchestra La banda ANTIX.
In 2018 she played the premiere of Christoph Schnell's 2nd Violin Concerto at the Festival Pianistico Internazionale di Brescia e Bergamo with the Festival Orchestra under the direction of Robert Bokor. Lucie also performed as a soloist at the KKL Lucerne: in 2018 with the Junge Philharmonie Zentralschweiz and in 2019 as part of the Solo Performance Graduation with the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra.
In October 2024 she performed as a soloist with the Camerata Zurich. Lucie plays in various orchestras in Switzerland and devotes herself to chamber music.
Between 2022 and 2023 she was employed as assistant to Prof. Igor Karško at the Lucerne University of Music and as a lecturer at the Gli Echi della Natura Summer Academy in Italy.
Lucie is also interested in music physiology and physiotherapy.
