Career
Born in Murcia, Spain. María began her musical training at the conservatory in her hometown, then continued her studies at the Barcelona School of Music with Yuri Volgin, the Cuarteto Casals and Emilio Moreno (baroque violin).
She has lived in Switzerland since 2013, where she completed her master's degree in pedagogy under the guidance of Isabelle van Keulen.
María, has been honoured in various competitions and has performed solo concerts with various Spanish orchestras. She performs regularly with various orchestras from Switzerland and Spain throughout Europe, such as the Capriccio Baroque Orchestra, Basel Festival Orchestra, Gstaad Festival Orchestra, among others.
María is also an active chamber musician with the Duo Euterpe and the Duo VayRa. Her musical versatility and her stylistic range from baroque to traditional to pop characterise her authenticity.
She teaches violin and string ensemble at Basel gyygt and Basler Saiten, a job that she combines with her concert activities.
