The Swiss musician studied at the Basel Music Academy under Gerhard Hildenbrand and Peter-Lukas Graf and graduated with a soloist diploma with distinction under Felix Renggli. Further inspiration followed during her year of study in Paris.
She then continued her studies on the transverse flute at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis and in Konstanz with Mr. Ekkehard Creutzburgh. The winner of numerous national and international prizes, she is the principal flutist of the Argovia Philharmonic.
Her work as a solo flutist was shaped by her work with the Orchestre Philharmonique Suisse under Mario Venzago. Miriam Terragni has enjoyed success as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral musician throughout Europe. Productions for radio and TV underline her versatility.
Four solo CDs with her pianist Catherine Sarasin were released on the labels «Coviello classics» and «Guild» and three CDs with chamber music works were also released on the Swiss label «Schweizer Fonogramm» - the fourth will be released in 2025.
