Career
Stefania Verità is a cellist with dual Italian and Swiss citizenship.
Born in Italy, she obtained her cello diploma at the Conservatorio "A. Vivaldi" in Alessandria after graduating from high school in 1985. Thanks to a scholarship, she continued her studies at the Scuola di Alto Perfezionamento Musicale in Saluzzo, where she further refined her skills under the guidance of internationally renowned masters such as S.Celibidache, T.Demenga, R.Filippini, M.Bourgue and M.Turkovic.
Her musical path then led her to the Bern University of Music in Switzerland, where she was accepted into P. Demenga's soloist class in 1989 and obtained her soloist diploma in 1991.
She also received important artistic inspiration through master classes with prominent personalities such as S.Palm, S.Celibidache, P.Amoyal, H.Schneeberger.
Stefania Verita is not only a soloist, but also a passionate chamber musician. She has worked with renowned artists such as Milan Turkovic, with whom she made her chamber music debut in the Vienna Konzerthaus in 1989, Gerard Wyss, Jean Pierre Rampal and Maxence Larrieu.
Her passion for chamber music led her to perform in Europe, the USA and Asia, where she played in various formations.
In addition to her engagement in various orchestras, including the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, she has been a member of the ensemble Salon Passion since 1997.
Her repertoire includes both modern and baroque cello, she is open to musical experimentation and has worked with a variety of artists from jazz, pop and experimental music.
Since 2023 she has been the cellist of "The Beauty of Gemina Trio +".
